Highway 101, the main north/south coastal highway through Washington to Oregon and California passes through Raymond and borders all three of the Port’s industrial parks.

Aberdeen/Hoquiam is 25 minutes North, and Astoria is about an hour South. Interstate 5, the main north/south freeway connecting Seattle and Portland is a 1 hour drive to the East. Regional trucking companies schedule regular routes through Raymond, and overnight UPS ground shipment is available from either Seattle or Portland.

Grays Harbor Community College in Aberdeen operates an extension facilitiy in Raymond with a full schedule of introductory college level courses, including those applying toward a 4-year degree through Washington State University.

Electrical Utilities

Pacific County PUD District #2 electricity rates are structured according to the type and size of the customer. They include general service small, large, and metered commercial rates, plus small and large industrial rates, each of which is divided into basic service, energy usage, and demand charges. “For a non-generating utility,” says Tim Pettit, the PUD’s Willapa Operations Manager, “our rates are very competitive. In fact, they are lower than any of the surrounding utility districts in this part of the state.”

Communication Technology

CenturyTel Telephone Company provides local telephone service, and Pacific County PUD District #2, Olynet, and CenturyTel are local internet service providers. In addition to normal dial-up, 56k access to the internet throughout the county, DSL high-speed access through either 256k or 512k circuits is also available at the Port of Willapa Harbor facilities in Raymond. Fiber optic is available at most of our facilities at the Main Dock in Raymond. Please contact the Port for further information.
